Well Spring is on the way and the crocuses and other bulbs are sprouting in the garden. It’s a joy to look out of the window and see what nature can do for us. Hopefully with the weather warming up and vaccinations taking place we can start getting out and about a bit more. The lockdown during Winter has been really tough for everyone, but as Captain Tom has said ‘Tomorrow is a good day’.
With Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and Shrove Tuesday February is usually a busy month, but has been very different this year.
Did anyone make pancakes on Shrove Tuesday? I expect we all missed Kirsty coming to the Cafe with her hotplate and making them for us. Hopefully next year we will be back on stream and can enjoy them together.
Re-opening of Café
The trustees discussed the re-opening of the café at their last committee meeting. Following Government Guidelines we will not be able to open before the end of June, but provisionally we will open as soon as we can during July. As stated in the announcements on 22nd February the roadmap may be subject to change depending on the data so we will review the guidelines on a regular basis and keep you informed.
The AGM for 2020 will be held via a ZOOM meeting on Tuesday 6th April at 1100. Invitations will be sent out by our secretary during March and it is hoped that some of you will be able to attend.
Syncopated Rhythm Jazz are hoping to be with us again this year.
