Newsletter 2 – 19th May 2020

Dear Friends,

We cannot believe how long it has been since we were all together at the Café, but we hope you are enjoying the warm weather which allows us all to enjoy the outside space. We miss seeing your friendly faces and hope it will not be too long before we are able to be together again when the Café reopens.

We are glad that everyone has enjoyed receiving their gift bags, we wanted to wrap our arms around you all to let you know that we are thinking of you in these strange times. Cath, our secretary, organised the bags along with some members of her family and Kirsty organised the delivery addresses in areas to give to the committee members doing the deliveries. All of us have enjoyed catching up with you and having the doorstep chats, it has helped us all.  If you haven’t received it yet, it will be with you sometime this week.

Next month sees the start of the Zoom Carers’ Meeting which Chris is organising and we hope that you will benefit from keeping in touch although we realise this may be difficult if you are caring for a loved one at home.

Some more ideas for you.

If you belong to the library you can go online at Warwickshire Library and sign up for eBooks using your library card number.

You need to download the Borrow Box app and from there it is straightforward to download up to 8 books at a time. Once you have read them you then click on return and they go back to the library. It so easy to use and you do not have to sign in once you have got the Borrow Box app as it is all done through the app.
